Homemade Gum Drops



1 cup sugar
1 cup light corn syrup/glucose syrup
3/4 cup water
1 3/4 oz gelatine ( 4 1/2 tbsp)
1tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp lemon extract / any flavour of ur choicre
granulated sugar for coating


Prepare a 9" × 5" greased tray.
(Or any size of your choice according to the flavoursxand cokours that you are going to use)
In a pan heat sugar & corn syrup together in medium heat while stirring continuosly. When it is boiling place the candy thermo meter and increase the heat and remove from the stove when it is 116¤C ( soft ball consistency).
In a second pan add water, gelatine, baking soda and bring to boil over high heat and cook for 2 minutes and remove. Now pour the sugar mixture to this gradually whe stirring continuosly. Again place on heat and cook for 2 minutes and remove. Now add flavour and colouring of your choice. Pour in to the prepared greased dish and leave to set over night. Cut in to desired shapes and roll in granulated sugar.
